Kids’ Marathon and Fun Run

The 2018 Governor’s Cup Kids Marathon and Fun Run is at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 8, at Centennial Park next to the Helena Family YMCA

Kids in grades K-5 at participating schools can log 120 minutes of running/walking during a six-week training period and run/walk a 1-mile lap at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 8 at Centennial Park to become a Kids Marathon finisher.

This non-competitive, non-timed event is about having fun and making it to the finish line.

Every Kids Marathon training program participant will be rewarded with tokens for meeting time goals and a T-shirt for completing the training program, free of charge. Those who participate in the final event will also earn a finisher’s medal. Children from non-participating schools will not receive a training program T-shirt, but are invited to participate in the non-timed lap free of charge and will receive a finisher’s medal.

Registration for the training program will be conducted through programs at participating Helena-area elementary schools.

2018 participating schools: Broadwater, Central, Four Georgians, Hawthorne, Jefferson, Kessler, Rossiter, Smith, Warren, Boulder, Montana City, Townsend, Helena Home School, Canyon Creek

Fun Run Registration

For those not taking part in the Kids Marathon training program through a participating school (adults and children alike), you can register separately for the 1-mile Fun Run, which will be contested along with the Kids Marathon at Centennial Park at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 8. This is a non-timed event.
