The 2017 Governor’s Cup Kids Marathon and Fun Run is at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 9, at Centennial Park next to the Helena Family YMCA
Kids in grades K-5 at participating schools can log 120 minutes of running/walking during a six-week training period and run/walk a 1-mile lap at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 9 at Centennial Park to become a Kids Marathon finisher.
This non-competitive, non-timed event is about having fun and making it to the finish line.
Every Kids Marathon training program participant will be rewarded with tokens for meeting time goals and a T-shirt for completing the training program, free of charge. Those who participate in the final event will also earn a finisher’s medal. Children from non-participating schools will not receive a training program T-shirt, but are invited to participate in the non-timed lap free of charge and will receive a finisher’s medal.
Registration for the training program will be conducted through programs at participating Helena-area elementary schools.

Fun Run Registration
For those not taking part in the Kids Marathon training program through a participating school (adults and children alike), you can register separately for the 1-mile Fun Run, which will be contested along with the Kids Marathon at Centennial Park at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 9. This is a non-timed event.
