Gov Cup marathon among 10 best bets in U.S. for Boston Qualifier
RaceRaves.com has named the Governor’s Cup as one of its 10 best bets for a Boston Marathon Qualifier. The Gov Cup is entering its 42nd year and features the oldest marathon in Montana, among its event options. How do you like them medals? You gotta run to get one!
The 2015 Governor’s Cup marathon and half marathon finisher medals have arrived, and boy are they cool! The marathon finisher medals, which are a 3-inch diameter gold pan, give a nod to Helena’s rich mining history. The half marathon medals feature our distinctive logo cut out with the date of the race below and balance the historic look of the marathon medal with a modern chic design. The only way to get one of these is to run the marathon or the half marathon on June 13, 2015 in Helena, but you can’t get to the starting line until you get registered and space is limited in both races.
Motivational speakers Adam Goucher, Tim Catalano to inspire
It’s the ultimate goal of the Governor’s Cup to provide race participants and our community with a top-notch experience that inspires and sparks an interest in physical activity. This year, we’re excited to announce we’re bringing Olympian Adam Goucher and Tim Catalano to Helena during the Governor’s Cup to help us achieve that goal with a motivational talk and participation in other events as part of the festivities. Adam and Tim will speak at 7 p.m. Friday, June 12 at the Myrna Loy Center. Admission is FREE, so there’s no reason not to take advantage of this opportunity. Read More
